As part of our mission to preserve and disseminate African American history, and to aid genealogists, researchers, and family historians, AAAHRP provides Washington State obituaries (dates only) va this section.

The information is obtained from various public sources, and while we make every effort to be as accurate as possible, we cannot guarantee the information is 100% correct. It is always a good policy to cross-reference records of this type with other sources when available.

To make research easier, obituaries are divided into five time periods: (1850-1899), (1900-1929), (1930-1959), (1960-1989), and (1990-present). Place your browser over the “Obituaries” button and the time periods will appear. Click the period that you desire and the page will appear with the names that are presently on file. Click the button that is located to the left of a name for obituary information.
